Hood & Exhaust Cleaning Certification

Phil Ackland is widely known as the "guru of Grease" for his knowledge of kitchen exhaust systems. Phil has created courses, seminars and training materials (manuals & videos) for the fire inspectors and kitchen exhaust cleaners. In June 2003, the International Organization of Standardization (ISO 9001:2000) recognized Philip Ackland Holdings of Summerland BC Canada for offering educational training and certification services to the commercial kitchen exhaust industry in Canada.

Phil Ackland Exhaust Cleaner Courses were developed in Canada to fulfill the requirements of the NFPA 1998 Edition Section 8-31 which states: "Companies or persons cleaning exhaust systems must be trained, qualified and certified acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction."
